2008 three Old Vines Zinfandel Lodi This wine was sourced from a 50 year old vineyard in Lodi and is a blend of 89% Zinfandel, 5% Petite Sirah, 3% Carignane, 2% Alicante Bouschet, and 1% Mataro. All the grapes in this blend come from vineyard blocks with extremely sandy-loam soils. Some of the soil types we source from include Hanford Sandy Loam and Delhi Sandy Loam. The Oakley contingent of this blend is about 14% and consists of all the blending varietals. With an average age of vines over 65 years of which most are still being dry-farmed, there is a deep concentration of ripe black cherries and spice with a minerality (earthy berry) sneaking through. $14/750ml - cases produced 1773 Order Wine |
